Equinix Colocation Occasional Access changes

As of January 2020, Equinix has made some changes to the process of gaining access to their Data Centres.

For customers that raise access requests to visit an Equinix Data Centre, instead of an access request number, you will need to provide a unique QR code. These QR codes will be provided by the Servers Australia Support team when an access request is scheduled.

It’s very important to bring your ID along as all Equinix Data Centre visitors with an access request must present their QR code along with a government-issued ID upon check in to Security.

The good news is you won’t need to make any big changes to your normal process, just present your unique QR code where you would normally quote your access request number.
